TRACKING STUDENT GROWTH

Holding Students Accountable for their Learning by Setting Goals

STUDENT DATA WALL

It is important for students in our classroom to take responsibility for their learning. Throughout a unit students set both short-term and long-term goals based on the learning expectations at each level.

On our student data wall you will see the number of students who are at each level along with the "Kid Friendly Objective" for each level of learning. Tracking data throughout a unit is a great conversation starter during our lessons. Students are very aware of their current level of learning and where they want to be at the end of the unit.

STUDENT DATA FOLDER

Students are responsible for tracking their data throughout a unit. Students use status checks, designed with the complexity of the post assessment, to assess their personal progress along the way. Students can usually communicate to me what they need to reach their personal goal. Students play a big role in designing our workshops.
